Artist's Comments

This is a pastel rendering of a picture by the photographer Artem Efimov (dunno if that's his real name or not lol) It was used as the cover for the book "La Bruja de Portobello" by Paulo Coelho. I just really liked how the figure in the picture looked, and wanted to see if I could pull it off with pastels.

Well I know what I could fix, should fix I guess. The right shoulder is a little off, but other than that I think it's a decent job for being the first time I used oil pastels.

Well, any CONSTRUCTIVE comments are welcome.

She isn't holding on to her legs...those are her ankles XD
Sorry for the mix up...i guess I should define them better.

I didn't even realize that her legs were to skinny until i read it mentioned above - it looks great either way because of the color

This work is well formed, the lines are nicely defined.

Also, the lighting and shading was produced well.

Nicely done.
